Roll tide

I have an f250 super duty 2006 model. Behind the rear seats there are two " vents" leading to the outside of vehicle. Can these be eliminated altogether? What is their purpose? Can I just seal them upcompletely to keep water out of my cab?

CAN you? Of course.

SHOULD you? Of course not. If water is coming in, either they're damaged, or you're using the wrong vehicle to get across that river. The cab is vented so that driving creates a slight airflow to remove moisture (from your skin & breath) and freshen the air.
