In the past 6 months I have had a cylinder 8 miss fire, cylinder 3 miss fire, blown sparkplug, and had to rplace the plastic intake manifold. I do not know what to do about all these problems. The most recent was today. I had a cylinder 3 miss fire. I replaced the coil because it had broken off. Right after I did that I went for a test drive and it is still missfiring. I have googled the problem and it seems like it is very common. I cannot find a recall for the problem, so I am wondering why ford has not fixed this problem. If anyone knows of anything I can do that will not cost an arm and leg then please let me know. I am student with a family and I do not have the money to go to the car repair shop anymore. I have already spent around 2,000 dollars on this truck in the past 6 months.

Not enough usable info! ? year/age of other Ign, sys. components/last tune plugs used?/? was the 2 grand for/age of &/or mileage on O2 sensors/cylinder compression of each cylinder?/# octane fuel used? any error codes. If so, on which scan test? Have you ever removed EGR and cleaned deposit buildup than restrict air flow through valve porting? MAP or MAF ? CEL's ? Does drivability change from prior to ,and then after normal oper. temp (195F) is reached?

there wont be a recall on it......Its a bad design on fords part on the heads.If they were to recall it your lookin at possibly no more ford....i have an 01 250 that a plug blew out. fortunately i had an extended warranty so it was covered. but 2000.00 is the going rate

ymeski this problem isnt new its better known as a spitting sparkplug where its literally spit out. the threads have to be repaired once its done

this is why im on here as well. 99 f150 5.4 blew plug out. fixed it. but now it blowin blue smoke when drivin it. dont when at idle. but when at idle it misfires. any help?
