F150 86 i6 300 no crank no power.

Hey all I have a F150 86 i6 300 manual. I went to start it after parking it for the winter. Started got out of vehicle then stalled, ignition was left on for 10 secs, got back in and could smell a short. Tried to restart, and nothing happened.

Lost all accessories, dome light, everything. I can jump the relay to turn the starter over. But nothing happens while turning the key

I pulled the dash and found the instrument cluster burnt. Would this cause a no crank power loss to everything? Can't see any other shorts in the wiring harnesses. Changed the ignition switch hoping it would go away. Still won't work

Now I'm wondering where the problem can be. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks Ian
