F250 460 swap ?????'s

Hi,

First post here. A buddy has a '97 F250 w/ a 460, 2wd & low miles -around 70k now. The 2wd is killing him when he's pulling his camper when the campgrounds are wet/muddy and he has found an '88 F250 w/ 4wd and a dead 460.

He's thinking of dropping his '97 motor into the '88. Can someone suggest what I/we need to know about electronics/ignition/wiring harness between the 2 to do this? I haven't done a swap like this so am not sure what exactly to ask...

Thanks!
