F250 lifetime mileage
While I haven't yet inspected the truck, I may do so today. I am interested in a well maintained, clean title 2001 F250 4x4.
Right Now I own a 1997 F150 2wd with 110,000 miles on it. I bought it with 49k miles about 5 years ago. It still runs like new and I have never had any auto problems with it despite being a bit late to get most of my oil changes. My battery even lasted 12 years. My big issue is that I make lots of ski trips each year to the sierra and after this recent storm of driving 4 hrs with chains on, I'm looking to buy a used 4x4. A 250 came up as a nice looking truck but I haven't looked into 250's much.
The F250 has 160,000 miles on it. How many miles can I expect this truck to last if I do buy it and step up my maintenance efforts to keep it well tuned? I will probably put about 8-10k per winter season on the truck.
