My outside rear upper lights wont turn off.(the white lights on the outside of the 3rd brake light Normally they would shut off after the door has been closed. But they remain on even when driving. Any help. 2000 f250

Do the dome lights stay on too? Often the door latch switches stick and cause that.

Hi, no it doesnt. Just the outside.

They're connected together inside the GEM module. There's either a problem internally in the GEM or the wire is shorted to something else. If it goes off after 30 min by itself, the GEM is probably causing it.

It doesnt even go out after 30 mins. Just stays on like one of the doors are open.
