F250 Tires Sizes

I can't seem to get the search to work so my question is...

What is the largest tire I can put on a 2004 F250 SD/FX4 without cutting or modding anything? I just want to buy'em and bolt'em. I'm concidering new wheels too so maybe that will make a difference??

Re: F250 Tires Sizes

I have an '03 250 superduty crew cab diesel that I just put new tires on.

285/75/16 is probably the largest you can go. BF Goodrich makes a 295/75/16 but that may rub a little.

I put 2" blocks on top of the springs which gave me room for 315/75/16 BFG allterrains which are about 35" tall, just keep the factory rims or do not go larger than 8"s wide. It should only cost you about $150`- $200` to do that and there are no other things to change just the blocks.

If the '04 has coils I think it is even less expensive.

Hope this helps

Re: F250 Tires Sizes

My son bought a 2002 F-250 4wd 7.3 diesel. Had lifters installed and the largest tires that would fit...great looking truck! The problem is, there is no place to carry a spare, doesn't own a jack tall enough! The bottom line is, if he has a flat, he is up the creek big time. I am open to any ideas, for I am the one who is going to get a call at 4 am in the morning. These are things to think about ahead of time.

Re: F250 Tires Sizes

get a hi-lift jack! they dont cost that much, and it doubles as a winch and a few other things. by the way did he put them on the stock rim, and how do they fit?
