Just woundering if some one could give me some info on the F250 petrol V8.
1999 model.
I have been told it is the Mustang 290 Boss engine.
Is it the same as what is in tha BA GT?

Not the same, it is a 5.4 sohc 16v (so also different to the standard BA V8 which is 24v). I suppose the block etc would be the same if not similar though.
the block is the same, the new F-series in the US have the 3 valve heads on them now too, so we should see the 3V 5.4 on Aussie F250s when we see the Powerstroke 6L V8
Thanks for your help guys.
I have a mate who just bought a F350 turbo desiel.
The cab had been written off so the owner went to the states bought a F250 had it cut in half & shipped it back to use the cab.
So my mate has a F250 V8 with box loom & computor for sale.
I was lead to belive it is the same motor that is in the 1999 Mustang A Boss 290.
I was contimplating putting this in my ELXR8.

I think you'd be better off modding the windsor than sticking in a 2 valve 5.4 Triton, apart from the hassles getting the thing to fit and the extra weight, it would need similar mods to get decent power (stock would be around the same as the XR 5L).
