hello out there, can anyone help, ive got a 04 f250. ive just had the origonal radio replaced,about 15miles later the speedo packed in. not knowinb if this is related, im concerned as ive got 2long journeys 2do, if its just coincedents n a sensor gone will it be ok to drive as i have satnav to check my speed, and if its a central prosesor problem would that not have killed my whole dash.. rev counter ect. obviosly i dont want to be breaking down on motorway,im disabled n will b towing, first my smart on trailer then my 36ft 5th wheeler. can anyone put my mind at rest or tell me what to check. with thanks, will be on for some chating sometime when lifes not so hecktic........well after a load of phone calls n a visit back to radio fitter ive got it sorted, it seems my truck has a speed sensitive volume...mmm witch means the faster i go the louder the volume gets, i was unawear of this because the origonal radio didnt have this facility(allthough truck does)but had some kind of bypass in it. the new radio hasnot got this facility so info for the speedo was stopin in the radio n not gettin back out 2the dash, i dont know how my fitter sorted it but only took 10 mins, now both speedo n radio work n fingles happy....
