F350

Hey guys i am new here. just registered today. i have a 1988-1991 ford f350 single cab long box with a 460 and an automatic in it. but the truck wont rev past 2500-3000 rpm. when it gets to that rpm it starts running like crap, almost like it isn't getting spark or fuel. . .anybody know of a common problem to cause these symptoms? thanks a bunch, your replies will be much appreciated.

Re: 460 wont rev past 3000

Lack of air flow, lack of fuel pressure, or plugged exhaust (usually the CAT)

Re: 460 wont rev past 3000

It has plenty of air. .new fuel pump and a new filter. .and it has 3 inch flow masters and no cats so I know it isn't the exhaust . .I am just stumped on what it is. .I am running out of things to replace
