My 03 F350 V10 makes a creaking noise when I turn the wheel going slowly. I remember hearing this noise while it was still under warranty and the dealer replaced the bottom ball joint passenger side so I'm pretty sure it's the bottom ball joint on the driver side now. Just want to know if there is anything I should look for in doing this job. I have done ball joints on other vehicles, but not this one.

Itcould be the opposite side. Listen to be sure. As for replacing it, it shouldn't be much different if you've done them on other vehicles.

Yeah, I'm going to get on a creeper and have the wife turn the wheel to make sure it is what I think before I go and do anything, but it definitely sounds like the driver side with the window down and I don't remember that side ever being replaced. I plow with this truck too, so that is another reason I suspect the bottom ball joint and not another steering component.
