mad Ford F350 Diesel Warranty

I installed a Banks intercooler, high ram intake, ram air breather box and a six gun with pda also 4" exhaust on my 2006 F 350 Harley Truck. I am a 46 year old professional firefighter way past the melting the back tires stage the above parts mentioned were installed by a Banks authorized dealer. My problem is the truck ran great for approx. 2 weeks after the parts were installed, when leaving for work one afternoon I had went to the store to buy food for work (truck ran fine) came out of the store truck would not start just turned over. Had truck towed to ford dealer, they checked truck and showed code for high pressure oil something?,problem is ford said sorry about my luck they would not cover under warranty due to banks products installed.I was under the impression that if the aftermarket part failed or caused the ford part to fail that it would not be covered. Is this true and do I have a leg to stand on need help thanks Richard.

Re: Ford F350 Diesel Warranty

It is my understanding regarding aftermarket parts that it is Ford's responsibility to prove the aftermarket part caused the OEM part to fail. I am very fortunate to have a dealer that is the aftermarket performance. I recently took delivery of a new 08 and the dealer installed an Edge module for me.
As hard and time consumming as it is I would argue with your dealer on this one. Perhaps Banks would be willing to get involved??? Banks produces a very safe product and goes through extensive testing. Sounds like your dealer simply doesn't want to honor your warranty.
