Question Ford Factory Navigation Units

I recently installed a 2007 Ford Freestyle factory navigation unit in my 2005 F250, had it programmed.
At first the steering wheel controll worked, then after about 3-4 times using the vehicle it quit working.
The other problem I'm having is not receiving AM/FM with the correct adapter, does that mean the AM/FM tuner is not working? I have an XM Tuner/adapter that I installed and it does work through the navigation unit.

Can someone tell me what might be going on. I reinstalled the system hoping to reset the steering wheel controlls with no luck.
