Front Brakes sticking

In the last year I have had this problem twice on my 03 f150 FX4 and dont understand what is going on. The first time was last year my wife was driving and the R front brake locked up. It didnt lock up completly but you could have cooked a steak off the rotor. I pulled the front wheel off and loosened the bleeder valve on the caliper and it freed up. Did not have a problem until about a month ago and it happened again same wheel. We fixed it the same way. Now last week I had to run up the road and when I got back and got out of the truck I smelled hot brake pad from the Left Front. same problem and same fix. This problem has only happened during the extreme heat of the summer and I do not understand what is going on. One note we do drive through a creek when when we go to the river. Hope somebody can help.

Re: Front Brakes sticking

Sounds like the caliper is sticking. May need replacing, but you could try lubing the sliders first.

Re: Front Brakes sticking

Thanks. I thought that might be the problem. But it was strange that it only happened in the summer. But I guess the water dont help any.
