Re: fuse buster

Do you have any kind of aftermarket elec. equip? Whether it be an amp, off road lights, a radar detector, etc. It seems to me that somewhere a wire is bare, and when you hit a pothole, or whatever the case may be, it's causing that wire to touch some bare metal, or another wire.

Re: fuse buster

the only aftermarket wireing belongs to a basic trailer wireing three wire flat.i did find one of the wires off but nothing else.ive never hard of this before but could it possibly be the fuel pump is on the way out?

Re: fuse buster

I would seriously doubt it had anything to do with the fuel pump. I just recently bought a Ford, so im not the best Ford mechanic, but I know on GMs, the fuel pump will whine most of the time before it goes out. You're problem has to be in the wiring somewhere. Trace down that fuse and follow all its wiring, and connections the best you can. You're bound to find your problem doing that.
