My dash guages work oddly. Sometimes the tach doesn't register. Othertimes it seems to register about half of normal.The fuel will register full when you fill up but may appear pegged after it hits 3/4 until it hits about 3/8. The battery indicator reads a lot lower than the batteries. Am I running any common circuits that may mess up multiple guages? Anyone have problems like these? Any response would be appreciated. I bought a new 1985 diesel and within a year began to have problems with the guages. Now 20 years later they are all not working. Except the speedometer. I was told by an old Ford mechanic that this would happen and that was 20 years ago. He said that Ford was using crappy guages.
