Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you'll go to AutoZone | Auto Parts & Accessories | Repair Guides & More and register a free online account, they have free online repair guides including electrical diagrams that you can view/print.

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have any idea what caused the fire so that others can avoid your plight?

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last time I seen a fire like that was caused by a flooded engine and a blow back through carb / throttle body igniting .

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mitchell's has a computerized program to figure insurance claim and body shop damage cost. It lists all parts needed and itemizes the prices for any given area and degree of damage. Get close to your insurance company. Even if the truck is not covered, you are their customer, and they should help.

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And there's always ALLDATAdiy.com. They'll have just about all the data that the service techs will have... for a price.

Ever notice that there's so many high performance parts available for GM products?

Did you ever think that maybe they NEED them?

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alldata = Subsidiary of Autozone. A lot of the same info in the Autozone online repair manuals.

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup, but Autozone doesn't cover all that Alldata does for our Pontiac. Autozone seems to stop for a lot of makes around 98 in regards to schematics and model specifics.
