help? bleeding power steering

my dad put trans fluid in power steering for some dumb reason thinks that it would be ok. i would like to bleed it out and replace fluid.

I always use ATF in the power steering. Common use for years. As far as bleeding, you could pull the pump and drain it. That would get rid of most of it.

Sounds like typical pump whine. On most Fords, if you run it low on ps fluid, it scars the pump. It will work fine but you will always have the whine.

What kind of ATF did he put in? That truck should have only Type F ATF in the PS system.
