Ideas for better milage and performance on '00 F-250 - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Hey all,
I am currently in Iraq and when I get back home next fall I want to make some mods to my truck. I have a 2000 F-250 Superduty Lariat with the 7.3L DTI. What I want are better milage and better performance. One thing I was considering doing was to install an aftermarket turbo and replace the exhaust with a 4" open exhaust. What are some other things I can do? I don't do a lot of towing with it yet other than my quad, but I plan on getting a toy hauler soon after I return.

Any advice is welcome.

Hey bruce,

forget the turbo upgrade and get yourself a tuner or a chip, you can get between 100-200lbs torque and 2-4 more mpgs
