I have a 1996 F-250,5.8 with 225,000 miles. The problem is when I depress the clutch to downshift to any gear or coast to a stop the engine will maintain it's current RPM for about 10 seconds. Example, cruising at 70mph @ 2800 rpm, push the clutch in to coast to a stop and the engine remains at 2800 rpm for 6-10 seconds. Any solution or part to replace?
Thanks,
Gary
