Ignition key not spring back to run position??????
I have a 1991 f150 with a 302 and the ignition does not sping back to run from the start position? It does not start from the key either. All of the lights are on the dash even if the key is in the off position. Any clues???????
Re: Ignition key not spring back to run position??????
As to both of your post, I would suspect the ignition switch. It's located under the dash on top of the steering column tube.
It's a fairly easy change out, remove a couple bolts from the column support and the steering column will drop down. Unplug the wiring harness, unbolt the switch.
Re: Ignition key not spring back to run position??????
Sorry about the two post but I didn't know which forum to post in. I had the steering wheel pulled and could get to the ignition switch. Is that the way to get to it or is it lower down the column?
