anyone tell me the best way to get the lock cyl.out of an 84 f-150 when the keys have been lost? thanx

Have a locksmith come out and make keys. You'll come out better in the long run.

thanx fonz but somebodys already been messing with it and theyve got it screwed up bigtime,i dont think theres a locksmith in the country that can make a key for it now

There are several ways to remove the lock cyllinder, but I won't post on a public forum how to remove it. You may find some alternative methods on youtube.

i understand and dont blame you,i just thought it might be a way to remove the steering wheel and release it from the back side somehow. i can check you tube i reackon. thanx slim

I don't think the '84 has the active retainer, so you could remove it by first removing the steering wheel. You'll probably need a steering wheel puller if you don't have one already.
