Ignition Problems

Okay. Here it goes. Its very simple, when i turn the ignition, nothing, not a sound, does not turn over, nothing. When I start it in my driveway first thing, its starts up right away. Ill drive around doing errands and come out and try to start it and nothing. Ill wait awhile, sometimes about an hour, then it will start again. I replaced the starter, solenoid, and the ignition switch. Any suggestions?

Re: Ignition Problems

I would go looking for a loose ground wire too, and even check the battery connections and make sure there clean and tight.

Re: Ignition Problems

You'd have to think the starter is getting too hot. Are all the engine bay and exhaust pipe heat shields on that side in place? Might be worth fabricating a temporay shield around the starter with a coke can or aluminium foil to see if that fixes it.
