Intro and a few questions
Quick info of myself, Im Alex, Ive got a 1998 Dodge Cummins with a few mods done to it, I did not join this forum to bash Ford or its products by any means, yes I own a Dodge, but the main reason I joined it to learn a little about the Ford v-10 triton. A friend of mine owns a 2001? f250 4x4 v-10. he has a few things done to it. Cold air intake, gibson dual exhaust, throttle body spacer, and hypertech programmer. My question to all of you is what else can be done to the truck to gain some more HP and TQ. I am guessing he puts up about 350 hp with above mods and about 420 TQ. Coming from the diesel world, I know that TQ is usually twice the HP rating, but I know this doesnt usually apply for gas motors. I maybe wrong in my power guesses, and I am open to all suggestions and corrections. I myself have only layed down 295 hp and 598 TQ with only an intake, exhuast, and some pump work. We have raced each other on seperate occasions and he has won both times, we both agree if we were to hook bumper to bumper I would probably pull him backwards. Again, and suggestions on what can be done to his truck would be appreciated and if possible, anyone who has invested alot into a v-10 and made some serious power, if you have a dyno sheet or something.
