Recently we started having a problem with our truck.
For whatever reason when you open the door the parking lights and the license plate light come on along with the dome light and bed light. The dome light and bed light go out when the door is closed, unfortunately the rest will not go out unless you disconnect the negative battery cable. Once you disconnect the cable and then reattach they will stay out until door is opened again. Have checked all the fuses and relays but have yet to find the answer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Check in behind the fusebox for any water trail entry etc.. This will lead into the gem module. Most likely the winshield urethane has dried/shrank causing a water leak.. Sometimes these can be dried and function properly.. They are pricey.

I don't know if you fixed the problem, this thread is two months old. It does sound like the GEM Module. Did you check to see if there was water behind the fuse box? That is where the GEM is located. Also, if you have cab clearance lights, water could be leaking in through one of them. Good luck.
