lo-tec question about bumper steps

have any of you installed one of these bumper steps on your front bumper?
http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...=bumper%20step

My father-in-law has a diesel F250 (2004 or maybe 05). Got the idea this step thing might be a good gift idea for him after helping him change fuel filters one day in my driveway. Even at 6'2" he was climbing up on the bumper to reach the stuff.

Just don't want to get him a pc o junk that'll break when he steps up on it. Plus, if you have any installation tips...

I tried the local Truck Customization shop and they didn't have anything in their catalogue like it. The guy there swore they had 'em and was supposed to call me when he found it...

Re: lo-tec question about bumper steps

I don't remember where, but a search ought to turn them up..... I've seen helper steps that hang over the tire. That way, you won't scuff or scratch the bumper. Me, I use a little stepstool for filter changing.
