hey, i just bought a new F 150, only 4 days ago, i want to lower it first and foremost. all i can seem to find is the shackles and stuff for the rear which is fine, but the front all i seem to find is springs...

springs are fine, but right now i have a 68 chevelle that i used springs to lower, it made the ride a little rough and it made it just about impossable to align the front end.

if any one knows if the same will happen to my f 150 with springs let me know, if you have a lowered on springs and you dont have any troble let me know as well.

To do it right on a F150 you must use control arms and springs. The control arms(top & bottom) give 2 in., the springs another 2 in. I have a 4/6 drop on mine....no problems, alignment or ride. I even like the ride better than factory....firmer not harsh at all. If you do springs only, you won't be able to get the camber to adjust right.....the wheels will lean in.

nice, so did you oder yours? or did you pick them up from some where. iv been looking on the net alot lately to fine something other then just springs, so now that i know about the control arms did you have to get yours seperatly or did you find a kit some where, and if you did get a kit where did ya get it from?

Two companies I can think of would be Groundforce &
AimIndustries
I used AIM, alot of people have had problems with them(wrong parts, back orders etc), I have never had a problem with them.....have even used some of their air components. If you don't mind spending more money, go with Groundforce. Ford uses some of their components on Lightnings.
