Lug bolt removal.

How do you replace lug bolts on a '99 F150? I got the wheel, brake disc and calliper off... but I can't seem to fish them out.

Re: Lug bolt removal.

Front or back, its the same. They are pressed in. To replace you will also need several washers that fir the stud and a lug nut that has a hole all the way through, not chrome covered

1) hammer the old one out, hit it from the front to knock it through the back of the axle hub.

2) Place the new one in the hole, then place washers on the stud (about 5) followed by the cheap hole-through lug nut.

3) the easy way is to use an impact gun to tighten the lug nut, thus pulling the stud into place during the process. Manual tools will make this job much more difficult.

Throw away the spent washers and lug.
