New owner of a 99 SD

Hi, I just bought a 1999 F250 SD yesterday and I wanted to join a forum where I could talk with other Ford truck owners. My beast is a regular cab XL 4x4 with the 5.4 Triton and an auto transmission. It took me a while to find a truck in my price range that was in good condition, but this truck is a real sweetheart. The interior is spotless and it drives great. It is a work vehicle, but I'm sure I'll find other uses for it as well. Anyone have advice for a truck newbie? Before the SD the biggest car I had ever driven was a Mercury Villager so I'm a little clueless about owning a truck. Thanks in advance!

Change all the fluids. I use synthetics but there are a ton of good lubricants out on the market. The plugs need to be pulled and a dab of antisieze put on them to prevent sticking. I changed gears in my FX4 to up the pulling performance.

Will do, I was planning to change the oil right away just because I don't know how long the current stuff has been sitting around while the vehicle was for sale. Thanks!
