I am going to get a new(to me) Superduty 4x4 with crew cab with an automatic trans. for everyday use and seasonal R.V. towing. I am a mechanic so can do at least some of the work myself. Have heard that the 6.0 problems can be mostly eliminated with an EGR delete. Also been told that the 6.4 has very poor mileage, but that can be fixed by getting rid of the regen system and you will get better power than the 6.0. I am not going to chip it but will be adding a cold air intake and exhaust system Anyone got any suggestions or opinions for me Thanx

He said he wouldn't have any of them after mid 2003. The 7.3 was a great engine. All of the rest were mostly problematic. He said the newest 6.4 in 2011 hasn't been around long enough to offer any advice.
