oil leak at rear ???

o6 350duelly diesel. mechanic says bed plate or bed block has minor leak. will require 3 days labor and must lift cab off frame. what is he referring to and is it life threating to motor. thanks roadtoad

i HAVE A 2006 6.0 40,000 MILES i WAS JUST TOLD THE SAME THING FROM W.C. FORD MAKES ME SICK THEY HAVE TO PULL CAB

i HAVE A 2006 6.0 WAS JUST TOLD MY BED PLATE LEAKS 40,000 MILES MAKES ME SICK MY TRUCK WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AFTER LIFTING OFF CAB

40K should be covered under the power-train warranty at least. Most diesels are warranted separately for 5yrs/100K. Check into it.
