So I've had this 1986 F150 for a while now and ever since I can remember I've had this very irritating clanking noise when I'm in drive and I'm not sure what it is because it is super annoying specially when I'm just idling at a stop sign I've got a custom exhaust kit on my truck and the clanking is even loader than the exhaust which I find hard to believe but it is.
Anyway I was wondering if any of you Ford enthusiasts could help me out to figure out this problem.. I've check underneath to see if anything is hitting (metal on metal) but I haven't found anything. So this is my problem think anyone could help? as a side note I'm not the best at mechanical stuff for vehicles I'm more into the computer technology.
Yeah sorry about that it was 1 am and I was tired also thank you for this this will help a lot in the future, it didn't quite answer my question but now I will know what to look for.
