i have an 03 f250 sd 4x4 with 22k when i drive for extended periods of time the overdrive light will start flashing. I dont notice any difference in the way it drives. but it does set the check engine light when it happens. I have taken it to the dealer several times and they cant find the problem. the last time they told me they talked to ford and I was told that i am not putting the gear selector fully in drive, but thats crap any ideas?

What? If the light is flashing, then there is a fault code stored in memory which should be diagnosed by the dealership technition who has plenty of resources to fix it.

Go to a differant dealer, or a good tranny shop. Maybe try and post the code here.
