Does anyone know what that little circle thing is called that located on the backside of the air filter. I have a 2004 f 250 diesel. Its clear with a yellow inside. I need to replace mine it broke.

That is a device that is supposed to tell you when the air filter is restricted. Not sure of the correct terminology.

You had it sooooo close..... it's a "restriction indicator".

To the original poster..... replace it IMMEDIATELY or else remove it and plug the hole tight.... a little bit of dirt will kill a diesel engine dead in no time flat.
