I own a 2006 F250 Super Duty with the 6.0 diesel. The truck has 30,000 miles. In the last few weeks, it has developed a popping sound when the brakes are applied. The sound occurs only once per stop. I looked, and have also had a shop look, for any obviouse problems. None have been found. Anyone else experienced this problem or have a suggestion?

I had a similar (or same) problem with my 2003 F250. During an alignment, the shop found that the front bottom ball joint was worn and had slack in the wheel. Jack up the wheel and try to wiggle it. That might be your problem.

i just replaced my ball joints on my truck like he had said most likely thats the problem but i also had to replace my u joint after a while it started to pop sum.
