I have a 1990 f150. The ignition switch started giving me problems so I changed it out but the new switch does the same thing. When you turn it on, the dash lights or nothing happens until you turn it all the way forward. It does not work at all in the acc mode (turning back). If you drive down the street and hit a bump, the truck will cut off. What do I need to look at now? If it is in the ignition housing, how do I get that piece off? Thanks

You have not centered the switch or used the line up pin. the switch is adjustable on
the steering shaft. Adjust it.

How do you do that? I had the pin in the slot in the housing.

Is there a lot of slop in the linkage? Maybe something is messed up there.
