You will very probably need to remove all the trim panels from around the headliner. I'm not familiar with your year of truck but some are probably attached with screws and others with those damned plastic, push-in retainers. Can you tell if it is one one side or the other? You might not need to completly remove it, just pull it down enough to maybe stuff a little bit of something like some foam rubber to cushion/wedge the wiring in place. Of course something had to come loose or even break in order for the rattle to have started in the first place, there may be a clip/retainer that needs replacing.
