I just bought a '97 F-150 and it didn't come with remotes
to unlock the doors. It has cruise control and power windows and door locks
and such so I suspect it may have it in there somewhere, but where do I
look?
I bought 2 remotes on ebay specifically for the 97 and put new batteries and program them acording to the manual but they are not working.
I turn the key 8 times within 10 seconds but nothing happe, What could be the problem? Could it be the receiver? Where is it locates?

My info shows 5 times within 10 seconds, ending in on position

I tried 5-8 and 10 and everything in between with no luck

Take your VIN # to the Ford dealer and have them check what options it has. Not all with power locks had the keyless system installed.
