I have a 84 F150 with a junk 302 engine burns leaks steams etc. I have found a 302 out of a 1977 Ford Granata which has been bored 40 over all new parts, boiled, headwork etc. The oil belly on the rebuilt sits towards the front and the only difference I can see is the oil dipstick on the 77 motor is on the front left and my motor the dipstick is on the right hand side (facing the motor). Will this rebuit 77 out of a car bolt right into my pickup?

C'mon guys & gals I know someone knows the answer to this. I was told today by a repuatable scrap yard there was a change from 79-80 in the way the motor bolt to the bell housing.

as far a i know there shouldnt be any difference what so ever as far as bell housing mounting or motor mounts should be an easy swap
