Replacing supply check valve in fuel pump

On the 1991 F150 trucks there was a problem with the fuel supply check valve staying open and/or closed, its located at the bottom of the FDM (in tank fuel pump). Can the supply check valve be replaced or do I have to replace the fuel delivery module ( in tank fuel pump). If fuel gets pumped to the front tank when using the rear tank, should we just replace the front fuel pump supply check valve? Or do both fuel pumps ? The recall no longer applies because of the age of the truck. 12 years or 150,000 The recall was for 1990 to 1993 F150, recall number is 93S68 Two check valves cost $100.00 at Fords! How hard is it to replace once you get the fuel pump out?
