Spedometer pulsing and automatic transmission problems

If speedometer is pulsing and causing automatic transmission shifting problems on a 1995 F250 power stroke. How do I find the problem in the wiring harness? I've changed the speed sensor and checked connections at the transmission also? This problem also affects cruise control violently. What should I be looking for?
