steering column bearing
Hello all,
I noticed yesterday that the steering wheel on my F250 all of a sudden had a lot of vertical play. I took off the plastic casing around the column and took a look with a flashlight. There were plastic shavings and metal filings in the bottom cover when I removed it. It appears that the bearing is gone, hence all the play.
How long a job is it to change the bearing in an F250 column? I do not intend to do it myself, but just want a rough idea so I know if the dealership is trying to rook me or not. I unfortunatley have not had great experiences with him in the past. If anyone has the Ford labour estimate book and can look it up, even better.
