Just replaced a steering pump in my f250 4x4 crewcab have 315/75/16's and the new pump is making more noise than the old one, also was hoping for easier turning on inclines any info would help
Peter
Thanks for the reply I had a mac do the work, when i questioned him about the noise he said thats just fords? Sounds like BS to me, also will tires this size affect steering that much?
Thanks Pete
JTire size shouldn't make any difference. A mechanic with an excuse that lame, I would consider finding another. Take the cap off the pump and see if it looks foamy, if so, that is air in the system. It may eventually bleed itself out.
