Step-Bumper Hitch on F-250 SD (2002)

I've got an '02 F-250 Super Duty that came with the factory step-bumper and it's rated as 5,000 lbs gross trailer weight / 500 lbs tongue weight.
Is this a true Class III rated hitch?

I need to tow a 6x12 Uhaul trailer about 250 miles.
According to Uhaul:
The trailer is 1,800 lbs empty.
Max load in trailer is 2,600 lbs.
Total gross weight of 4,400 lbs.

I'm just moving some bulky household items, so I doubt the gross weight 4,000 pounds total.
Is this doable with the step-bumper that's currently on my truck? If so, I'll be getting a 2" ball for it.

I've never towed with a step-bumper before, so just wanted to make sure before I show up to Uhaul (as I've heard they really try to push receiver hitch sales)

It will pull it just fine. No need for a receiver hitch.

Yes, but only as WC - not WD. See this link:

Yes. But consider a Convert-A-Ball system.

You'll be fine to carry what you need in that trailer on the bumper hitch.
