Thinking about an F-250 4x4

I am thinking about purchasing a new F-250 XLT crew-cab 4x4. I would appreciate any feedback (positive and negative) from owners of these vehicles, particularly those residing in Australia.

I am hoping that the 250 is a much better vehicle than the explorer I owned several years ago.

Re: Thinking about an F-250 4x4

Somebody mentioned in The Pub forum, that the 05 model will be here in 12 months as reported in 4X4 Australia, August.
which has the more powerful 6L V8 powerstroke diesel. The 7.3 is awesome to drive, never owned one though, but i would be waiting for the 05 if the report is correct.

Re: Thinking about an F-250 4x4

beware of 6.0l powerstroke they have bugs maybe they will be fixed when they come here
www.dieselstop.com read forums there about all superdutys
i have a 2002 f250 xtracab 4x4 best truck ive ever had
mines the 4.2l turbo diesel its no longer available
i would also like a 6.0 when they arrive if they are better by then
they also are more thirsty than the 7.3 apparently

Re: Thinking about an F-250 4x4

The Powerchip website stated they can take the 7.3 to 220kw/780Nm not bad at all really
