Hey guys, I have a problem with my truck. Seems like everything problem i have is never cut and dry and there is always other factors that can weigh in. So ive owned the truck for 3 or so years now and ever since day one ive had electrical demons. I have rust around the outside edges of the windsheild and it allows water to leak in and then i see a little puddle right on the floor board where the parking break release is. Usually the only problem I have is ill come out and the radio is blaring and the windshield wipers are on and the heater blower is blowing but everyonce in a while it will effect the way it shifts. note also when it effects the way it shifts the speedo is action erradic and jumping all over the place. Its not often that this happens with the shifting but if I let the truck set overnight the next day everything is back to normal. Now the feb. before last I was plowing my inlaws drivway and i put the truck in reverse and went to go forward and the truck did not move. I had it towed to a trans. shop and they quoted me 1700.00 bucks and thats what I payed. Its always leaked a bit since they fixed it but other than that Ive had no issues.(Ive always checked the trans fluid level) Now as of last night I was driving along and while in 3 or 4th gear the rpms went way up and started slipping. I eased of the gas and the rpms went back down. IF I baby it along its fine but when it goes to upshift it will slip and as soon as I let off the gas i can get it to recatch and cruise along. Since the rebuild Ive put less than 10,000 miles on the truck. If the tranny turns out being bad would a good trans shop take care of you or am i on my own here?

It depends on their warranty policy. Did they give you a warranty? Most places like that give at least a 1 year/12,000 mile warranty. Some even more. With the price you paid they should have a pretty good warranty. Call them and tell them it's been leaking ever since but you kept the level right.
