Just got my transmission rebuilt on my 98 f150 and drove a cycle and now get p0401 EGR recirculation code. Does transmission or anything related have anything to do with this code.

It's possible the hoses to the DPFE got knocked off and it's not getting a signal from the sensor. It could also be something unrelated. What engine do you have?

got a v8 4x4. I checked all the hoses and all looks fine. ??

Which one? 4.6 5.4 etc.

Probably a hose off. If not something wrong with the DPFE circuit.

Code P0401-Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) ﬂow was too low during EGR ﬂow test. The PCM expects DPFE signal voltage to increase when the EVR duty cycle is increased.

I doubt it. I'd check for a flow in the system. Those hoses can be knocked off easily.
