dthompson Registered User Join Date: Mar 2009 Posts: 4	transmission pressure low I have a 4r70w trans in a 97 F150 that I rebuilt. When I try to drive it the trans will engage and then disengage unless I drop in 2nd gear to pull off. At I pull off the truck drives fine. I checked the line pressure and it is with in range, however when I checked the forward pressure with the truck in drive and it is 48 lbs and as soon as I give it gas the pressure drops to zero. I would be great full if someone can tell me what I did wrong as a first time rebuilding a tranny.
