transmission swap?

Ok i have a 1997 f-150 2wd with the 4.6 liter but it needs a new transmission and i found a 1994 ford thunderbird for cheap and it comes with the 4.6 liter engine. I was wondering if i could take the transmission out of the thunderbird and put it on my f-150, is that possibe?

Re: transmission swap?

It depends on the transmission mounts and alignment (bellhousing) to the driveline.
