<TABLE width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top width="100%">Ok i have a 1997 f-150 2wd with the 4.6 liter but it needs a new transmission and i found a 1994 ford thunderbird for cheap and it comes with the 4.6 liter engine. I was wondering if i could take the transmission out of the thunderbird and put it on my f-150, is that possibe? </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
I believe u can, as long as there are both that are a AOD or 4R700W (whatever they're called) type transmission. A buddy of mine was going to do that, but the other way around
They're not the same, and might not even bolt up. The engine blocks CERTAINLY aren't the same.
